Laminated glass is basically a sandwich glass. It is made of two or more lites of glass with a vinyl interlayer (EVA /PVB /SGP) between. The glass will tend to stay together if it is broken , it is  also called safety glass. Because laminated glass holds up to impact better than other types of glass, this is what is used in modern glass facades. The sandwiched interlayer gives the glass structural integrity and keeps it from shattering apart like tempered glass.

Product Details:

Laminated glass is produced by binding the inter layer (PVB) between two or more lites of glass under heat and pressure. In the event of glass breakage, the two layers are held together by the PVB, allowing the sheet as a whole to bend and absorb the impact.
